The 4.0L V8 biturbo engine in the Audi RS6 and RS7 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. Instead of using ambient air as the cooling medium (as is usual), the charge air is cooled using a dedicated cooling water circuit. A reduction in the coolant temperature therefore directly translates into improved charge air cooling performance. This is precisely where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING additional water cooler come into play.
The newly developed Competition racing core of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water cooler expands the cooling volume of the standard water cooler by an additional 65%. The ratio of inner to outer cooling surface used generates maximum heat transfer while still allowing sufficient airflow for the adjacent components (e.g., the engine water cooler located behind it) to exchange heat. Furthermore, the water coolers are equipped with a heat-conducting, anti-corrosion coating, ensuring a lasting cooling effect. Installation of the system is also straightforward and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
