VW Touran 5T automatically dimming interior mirror retrofit package frameless

Significantly upgrade your VW Touran 5T with the original automatically dimming and frameless interior mirror.

The interior mirror darkens automatically when the light is too strong.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for easy installation of the automatically dimming + frameless interior mirror in your VW Touran 5T.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original automatically dimming interior mirror (version: frameless) is possible on all VW Touran 5T models of all years of manufacture as well as all equipment variants with a capable windscreen (see below).

Finally, no coding work is necessary for this retrofit; the electrically dimming interior mirror works immediately.

To check the windshield:

If your VW Touran 5T already has a plastic bar that runs from the interior reading light to the interior mirror, the currently installed windshield is suitable and does NOT need to be replaced. The mirror is simply removed and reattached.

Alternatively, you can check compatibility based on the vehicle equipment (PR numbers):

If your VW Touran already has the light/rain sensor (= PR number 8N6) and/or the front camera (= PR number: QK1, responsible for lane departure warning / traffic sign recognition / high beam assistant) and/or a Climatronic (= PR number: KH7), the currently installed windscreen and all installed control units are capable and do NOT need to be replaced.

However, if the currently installed interior mirror is only attached to the window with an adhesive dot without a plastic bar (see product image), the currently installed windshield is NOT compatible and must be replaced with a windshield with an integrated metal bracket for the higher quality mirror (contact your local VW partner for this). If the current windshield is actually NOT compatible, the conversion is a good option, for example, if the windshield is being replaced after a stone impact, etc.
