VW Touareg 7p Bluetooth Music Stream RNS850 Retrofitting package

You want to stream/play music via Bluetooth from your mobile phone to your RNS850 navigation system.

Here we supply you with the additional module for retrofitting the music streaming function via the AUX-IN input in your VW Touareg 7P with RNS850 navigation system.

The additional module is installed on the navigation computer.

The control of the tracks and the display of the track names is done via the mobile phone; there is no display in the multimedia system because technically the audio signal is fed into the multimedia system via the AUX-IN input.

Would you like the full audio streaming function with display of the track names in the multimedia system and on the speedometer as well as operation on the multifunction steering wheel?

For this purpose, we recommend the retrofit package with article no.: 66559. With this, no hardware installation is necessary.

The retrofitting of this A2DP Bluetooth interface for the transmission of audio signals is possible on all VW Touareg 7P models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) as well as all equipment variants with installed RNS850 navigation system (= PR number: 7Q2 navigation system with color screen).

NOT suitable for VW Touareg 7P models with the RCD550 radio system without a navigation system (= PR number: 7Q0). We can retrofit these models here on site upon request.

For models with a built-in MDI music interface (= PR number UF2; interface for connecting e.g. iPhone / USB sticks), this interface is no longer available after installation and coding work is necessary because the MDI music interface must be removed and changed to AUX-IN.

Operation is via the menu item "AUX" - the audio signal is fed into your RNS850 via the Bluetooth receiver, so title/artist information cannot be displayed; operation is via your mobile phone.

Installation information:

Pull out the RNS850 unit in the glove compartment.

Plug in the cable set - place the permanently connected AMPIRE Bluetooth receiver behind the RNS850 unit.

For models with an AUX-IN input already installed, no coding work is necessary; only for models without an AUX-IN input (= input for a jack plug below the center armrest) currently installed, the RNS850 is activated using the supplied coding instructions.

Any existing CD changer does not need to be uninstalled. This interface is installed "in addition" to it.

Search for Bluetooth receivers and connect once

The device will beep once when the connection is successful. Your phone will then be permanently paired and will not need to be reconnected each time you start the vehicle.
