VW T6 light/rain sensor automatic driving light retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your VW T6 bus with the original light/rain sensor.

The windshield wipers switch on or off automatically when it rains - the headlights switch from daytime running lights to dipped beam when it gets dark.

Here we provide you with the retrofit package for this simple retrofitting.

Product attributes:

Retrofitting the original light/rain sensor (Coming Home / Leaving Home) is possible on all VW T6 models of all years, all variants (Multivan, Transporter, Bus, Caravelle, Business, California, long wheelbase, etc.) and all equipment variants.

We supply you with the appropriate sensor for your model (depending on the installed electronics / model year) as well as the appropriate light switch (depending on the headlights, fog lights, etc.).

VW T6 models with a non-dimmable windshield (= PR number: 8N4, the interior mirror is only attached to the windshield with a dot of adhesive or there is no interior mirror installed at all) lack the mount for the light/rain sensor. In these cases, the windshield must also be replaced (on PR number: 8N6). A new interior mirror is also required; you can also conveniently order this here with a manually dimming or automatically dimming option.

We supply you with the appropriate sensor for your model (depending on the installed electronics / model year) as well as the appropriate light switch (depending on the installed fog lights / rear fog lights, etc.).

Information about the windshield:

For T6 models with an interior mirror that is only attached to the windscreen with an adhesive dot (= without a "bridge" in which cables already run into the roof lining - see picture) or WITHOUT an interior mirror, a windscreen with a bracket for the light/rain sensor as well as the corresponding interior mirror (see our article no.: 22936) with a bracket for the new windscreen are also required.

For models with a "hinged" interior mirror (= e.g. already installed with an automatically dimming interior mirror), it is not necessary to change the windscreen because the currently installed windscreen is suitable for this retrofitting and the "blind plug" installed in this case can simply be replaced with the light/rain sensor.
