VW T6.1 Switch off button for ASR/ESC with hill descent assistant retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your VW T6.1 with the original button panel for switching off the ASR (traction control) and switching on the hill descent assistant.

Here we supply you with the complete package for retrofitting the hill descent assistant and the ASR/ESC button in your VW T6.1 bus.

The hill descent assistant ensures controlled and therefore significantly comfortable downhill driving by reducing the engine speed and, if necessary, by braking.

With the ASR button you can switch the electronic traction control of your VW T6.1 off and on again at the touch of a button while driving.

This means you can drive more easily and more safely on snowy or slippery slopes as the "traction control" no longer blocks the wheels.

The wheels spin just like you "step on the gas".

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the supplied KECODI coding interface uses the innovative KECODI APP, which is already pre-configured for you, to fully automatically activate the hill descent assistant and the ASR/ESC button.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original button panel for the hill descent assistant including ASR/ESC button is possible on all VW T6.1 bus models of all years of manufacture, all variants (Multivan, Transporter, Bus, Caravelle, Business, California, etc.) as well as all equipment variants (manual transmission / automatic transmission, with or without digital speedometer) without the currently installed ASR/ESC button to the left above the light switch.

NOT suitable for VW T6 models up to and including model year 2019.

NOT suitable for VW T6.1 models with an ASR/ESC button already installed on the left above the light switch. For these VW T6.1 models you need the retrofit package with article number: 22952

The cable set leads from the new button panel, which is installed to the left of the light switch in the panel that is always included, to the ESP/ABS control unit. This is located in the engine compartment and can be reached from above.

We will supply you with the identical panel as currently installed (color, etc.) with an additional recess for this button strip.

Information about the driver's side trim part:

For T6.1 models without a currently installed button strip on the driver's side (= no buttons to the left above the light switch - see product images), a trim part without a recess for this combined button strip is currently always installed.

This panel without button strip is installed if no ASR button, no hill descent assistant and no differential lock are installed ex works.

To retrofit the ASR/ESC button and/or the hill descent assistant, this cover supplied here is always required.

If your VW T6.1 has "only" the ASR/ESP button without hill descent assistant installed from the factory, please note our retrofit package for the hill descent assistant.

If your VW T6.1 currently does not have a button panel installed, you will need the retrofit package offered here. This means you can retrofit both assistants (ASR button and the button for the hill descent assistant) in one go. The amount of work is the same as if you were to retrofit "only" the ASR/ESC button without the hill descent assistant.

We will supply you with the identical panel as currently installed (color, etc.) with an additional recess for this button strip.
