Here we supply you with the complete package for retrofitting the original rear view camera high with display of the dynamic guide lines in your VW T6.1 bus.

When you engage reverse gear, the live image from the rear view camera automatically appears in your multimedia system, showing the guide lines that move depending on the steering angle.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to fully automatically activate the Highline rear view camera with dynamic guide lines.

Retrofitting the original rear view camera with dynamic display of the auxiliary lines (= lines move with the steering angle and show you exactly where you are going) is possible on all VW T6.1 models from model year 2020, all variants (Multivan, Transporter, Bus, Caravelle, Business, California, long wheelbase, etc.) with any tailgate that opens upwards (= e.g. PR number: 3RC, 3RB, 3RP, 3RJ) as well as with one of the following multimedia systems:

Navigation Optionsinfotainment (PR number: 7UT, 7UG or 8AR or ZI8)

Radio Entry (PR number: I8I) in conjunction with DAB+ (PR number: QV3) and / or comfort telephony (PR number: 9IJ)

NOT suitable for VW T6.1 models with Radio Entry (PR number: I8I) in conjunction with MirrorLink (PR number: 9WT) without DAB+ (PR number: QV0).

Suitable for all VW T6.1 models with all installed parking aid systems (e.g. PR number 7X0 without PDC sensors, PR number 7X1 rear parking aid / 7X2 front + rear parking aid / 7X5 parking steering assistant).

NOT suitable for VW T6 (= pre-facelift) models up to and including model year 2019, for these models you need the rear view camera retrofit kit with article number: 11908

NOT suitable for VW T6.1 models with wing doors (wing door = door / tailgate opens to the left and right). For these VW T6.1 models with wing doors you need the rear view camera retrofit kit with article number: 10938-1

Installation instructions:

VW installs two different tailgates on the T6.1 bus at the factory.

Models with a rear view camera ex works have a recess for the rear view camera in the tailgate (= in the sheet metal).

Models without a factory-installed rear view camera do not have this recess.

Therefore, during installation it is necessary to create a rectangular recess in the sheet metal of the tailgate.

This shouldn't be a problem since the rear view camera is covered by a cover, but we would still like to point it out.
