When you engage reverse gear, the live image from the rear view camera with static guide lines automatically appears in your multimedia system.

Here we supply you with the complete package for retrofitting the original rear view camera with display of the static guide lines in your VW T6.1 bus.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the coding dongle supplied here completes the automatic activation of the rear view camera with the help of the innovative APP that is already pre-configured for you.

The retrofitting of the original rear view camera is possible on all VW T6.1 (= facelift) models of all years of construction from model year 2020, all variants (Multivan, Transporter, Bus, Caravelle, Business, California, long wheelbase, etc.) with an upward opening tailgate (= e.g.: PR number: 3RC, 3RB, 3RP), with all installed parking aid systems (e.g.: PR number 7X0 without PDC sensors, PR number 7X1 parking aid rear / 7X2 parking aid front + rear / 7X5 parking steering assistant) as well as with one of the following multimedia systems:

Navigation Optionsinfotainment (PR number: 7UT or 8AR)

Radio Entry (PR number: I8I) in conjunction with DAB+ (PR number: QV3) and/or comfort telephony (PR number: 9IJ)

NOT suitable for VW T6.1 models with Radio Entry (PR number: I8I) in conjunction with MirrorLink (PR number: 9WT)

Installation instructions:

VW installs two different tailgates on the T6.1 bus at the factory.

Models with a rear view camera ex works have a recess for the rear view camera in the tailgate (= in the sheet metal).

Models without a factory-installed rear view camera do not have this recess.

Therefore, during installation it is necessary to create a rectangular recess in the sheet metal of the tailgate.

This should not be a problem for a specialist company as the rear view camera is covered by a cover, but we would still like to point this out.
