Significantly upgrade your VW T6.1 bus with the original plug-in trailer hitch.

We supply you with the complete package including mechanics and all necessary parts for retrofitting the original trailer hitch in your VW T6.1 bus.

This means you do not need to install a universal trailer hitch from the accessories.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here carries out the complete automatic activation of the trailer hitch with the help of the innovative KECODI that is already pre-configured for you.

Retrofitting the original trailer hitch is possible on all VW T6.1 bus models of all variants (Multivan, Transporter, Bus, Caravelle, Business, California, long wheelbase, etc.) as well as all equipment variants with (PR number: 1D8) or without trailer hitch preparation (PR number: 1D0) from model year 2020 onwards.

The original system is installed and put into operation as it was at the factory, no "special work" is required as is often the case with some accessory systems, for example the automatic shutdown of the parking aid when towing a trailer, the increase in cooling performance, the opening of the possibly installed electric tailgate, etc. naturally works.

The final activation is done entirely with the included KECODI coding interface!

There is no need for activation by your VW partner using an SVM code or manual coding.

Information about the product:

In T6.1 models with trailer coupling preparation, the control unit and the cable set are already installed in the interior at the factory. We therefore supply you with the missing cable set for the 13-pin trailer coupling socket (this is plugged into the already installed cable set of the preparation at the rear left) as well as the KECODI activation.

For T6.1 models without trailer coupling preparation, the control unit, the KECODI activation and the cable set for the 13-pin trailer coupling socket as well as the cable set for installation in the interior are included in the scope of delivery.
