VW T6.1 automatically dimming interior mirror retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your VW T6.1 bus with the original automatically dimming and frameless interior mirror.

The interior mirror darkens automatically when the light is too strong.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for installing the automatically dimming interior mirror in your VW T6.1 bus.

Scope of delivery:

• - 1x original VW T6.1 automatically dimming interior mirror (depending on model)
• - 1x pre-assembled cable set
• - 1x installation instructions (German)

Installation time: approx. 1 - 2 hours

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original automatically dimming interior mirror is possible on all VW T6.1 models of all years, all variants (Multivan, Transporter, Bus, Caravelle, Business, California, long wheelbase, etc.) as well as all equipment variants with a capable windscreen with a mount for the automatically dimming mirror (= e.g. already always capable at the factory with a built-in light/rain sensor with PR number: 8N6).

Finally, no coding work is required for this retrofit; the automatically dimming interior mirror works immediately after installation.

Information about the windshield:

For models with an interior mirror that is only attached to the windshield with an adhesive dot (= PR number: 8N4), a windshield with a bracket for the automatically dimming mirror is also required. (= without a "bridge" in which cables already run into the roof liner - see picture). We also supply the necessary trim parts for the bridge/cable duct that leads upwards from the interior mirror.

For models with a "hinged" interior mirror (= e.g. already installed at the factory with an existing light/rain sensor), it is not necessary to change the windshield as it is already suitable for retrofitting the light/rain sensor.

We can also offer you the retrofit package light/rain sensor with simultaneous delivery of the interior mirror under article number: 22955.
