VW Passat B8 rear view camera retrofit package trailer maneuvering assistant

Significantly upgrade your VW Passat B8 with the original rear view camera.

Here we supply you with the complete package for retrofitting the original rear view camera - especially suitable for your VW Passat B8 with trailer maneuvering assistant already installed.

In these models, the VW emblem with integrated "rear view camera" is already installed at the factory - it is just not electrically connected and not "activated".

+ Optical display of the live image on the screen as well as the active / moving guide lines when steering

+ Activation of the live image when engaging reverse gear or by pressing the parking aid button

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here completely automatically activates the rear view camera with the help of the innovative KECODI APP that is already pre-configured for you.

The retrofitting of the original rear view camera / Rear Assist is possible on all VW Passat B8 models of all years with a built-in trailer manoeuvring assistant (= e.g. PR number 8A9 / ID9; display in the multimedia system when towing a trailer - these models already have the VW swivel emblem with full rear view camera function installed) as well as with one of the following built-in multimedia systems:

Navigation High (PR number: 7UG or 7UP / 7UH)

Navigation Standard (PR number: 7UF or 7UT)

Composition Media (PR number: I8F in combination with PR number: 9WT or 9S8 or QV3)

The cable set connects the existing camera to the multimedia system which is located in the glove compartment.

There is an active auxiliary line / auxiliary field display as the original system - thus with ALL functions as installed at the factory.

If the maneuvering assistant is not installed, you will need the regular retrofit package for the rear view camera, which we offer under item number: 10806
