Significantly upgrade your VW Passat B8 with the original parking assistant / parking steering assistant.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for installing the original parking assistant in your VW Passat B8.

Scope of delivery:

• - 1x all necessary VW Passat B8 original parts such as 1x PLA control unit, 4x PLA sensors, 1x button bar with additional PLA button, etc.
• - 1x various mounting materials
• - 1x pre-assembled cable sets
• - 1x installation instructions (German)

Installation time: approx. 6-7 hours

Please choose between:

- black matt primed sensors

or

- sensors painted in the respective colors (depending on the chassis number)

Please provide the chassis number during the ordering process

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original parking assistant / PLA is possible on all VW Passat B8 models of all years of manufacture and all body styles (sedan, estate, alltrack) with installed parking aid at the front and rear (ParkPilot).

On request, we will be happy to supply you with PLA sensors already painted in the correct color

Painting work is carried out by a master automotive paint shop using your chassis number / the paint codes stored there.

Since every VW Passat B8 already has an electromechanical steering system at the factory, the automatic parking process can be retrofitted.

The steering wheel moves without driver intervention.

With this retrofit package, the parking aid is extended to the surrounding display; your VW Passat B8 also warns you when driving past with the all-round display in your multimedia system.

To make retrofitting easier, we recommend installing bumpers prepared for the PLA sensors.

Alternatively, the PLA sensors can also be installed flush with the existing bumper (however, this does not correspond to the factory installation - the function could be impaired because the beam angle is different) - many of our customers do it this way because the parking aid is still upgraded with the "lateral" warning.

Approximate assembly instructions:

Remove front and rear bumpers.

Insert the four new PLA sensors.

Connect the sensors to the existing parking aid cable sets at the front and rear.

Route the cable sets to the control unit of the parking assistant (located in the driver's footwell) and to the button panel with the additional PLA button.
