We supply you with the retrofit package for installing the original electrically folding mirrors - suitable for your VW Passat B8.

It is operated via the new switch position in the driver's door and via the new menu item in your multimedia system - as installed at the factory.

After a quick plug-in into the easily accessible OBD diagnostic port in the driver's footwell, the included KECODI coding interface, with the help of the innovative and pre-configured KECODI app, completely automatically unlocks the exterior mirrors, including displaying them in your multimedia system. No further coding work with a tester is required.

Product attributes:

Retrofitting the original automatically folding exterior mirrors is possible on all VW Passat B8 models of all body styles (sedan, estate, alltrack), all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) and all equipment variants.

We supply the appropriate retrofit package depending on the chassis number; all models can be retrofitted.

The exterior mirrors come standard with ambient lighting (= lighting package). These lower LED lights in each mirror illuminate the exterior of your VW Passat B8 at night when unlocking, thus providing additional added value for you.

During the ordering process, please select whether the Area View camera is installed in your VW Passat B8 (= PR number KA6). If you choose this option, we will supply you with the folding exterior mirrors with integrated cameras.

VW Passat B8 models without an area view camera (= PR number KA0 or KA2) do not require this; in this case, select the option "without area view camera".

Product compatibility:

The vehicle manufacturer installs two different door control units (Lowline, Highline), each of which enables more or fewer additional functions.

To determine the part number, you can read it directly from the two front door control units or use a tester. Generally speaking, the following applies:

? = 3 = Retrofitting not possible - the door control unit must be replaced.

? = 5 = Retrofitting possible - the door control unit does not need to be replaced to retrofit the folding mirrors.

The position of the ? (question mark) is important here.

If the door control units need to be replaced, they can be ordered under item no.: 23085.

Installation information:

The existing painted mirror housings and the mirror glasses are individual components - these are dismantled and mounted on the new electrically folding mirrors - so they DO NOT need to be replaced.

The cover around the current mirror rotation switch will be replaced because you will have one more position later - for this purpose the new rotary switch and its light guide will also be replaced.

No further special wiring work is necessary - the new mirrors are simply plugged into the door control unit, which is located inside the door.
