VW ID.4 Review camera retrofit package

Significantly enhance your VW ID.4 with the original rear view camera.

Here we supply you with the complete package for retrofitting the original rear view camera WITH dynamic guide lines and WITH integrated cleaning function (= spray nozzle) in your VW ID4

+ as factory installed

+ With cleaning function! When the rear window wiper's spray/wipe function is activated, the rear view camera lens is also cleaned with a water jet.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here completes the automatic activation of the rear view camera using the innovative KECODI that is already pre-configured for you.

No further activations or even a visit to your VW partner's workshop are necessary; the KECODI completes the full activation of the rear view camera in just a few seconds.

Installation time: approx. 3 hours

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from the 2023 model year with an installed PR number of NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so we can verify this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g., 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Retrofitting the original rear view camera with dynamic guide lines is possible on all VW ID.4 models of all years of manufacture and all equipment variants with one of the following installed multimedia systems:

Navigation (PR number: 7UT)

Cockpit infotainment (PR number: 8AS)

NOT suitable for other multimedia systems.

Suitable for all equipment variants with all parking assistance systems (e.g. front + rear parking assistance PR no. 7X2, IPA Intelligent Park Assist parking assistant PR no. 8A2 or RPA Remote Park Assist parking assistant 8A5).

Automatic switching occurs when reverse gear is engaged and when the parking aid button is pressed, including dynamic guide line display from the rear view camera.

Additionally, you also get the very convenient cleaning function, which allows you to easily clean a dirty rear view camera lens with a water jet from the rear view camera's spray nozzle. This is particularly convenient during the winter months and significantly increases the usefulness of the rear view camera.
