VW ID.3 electrically folding mirror retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your VW ID.3 with the original electrically folding exterior mirrors.

Here we provide you with the retrofit package for installing the original electrically folding mirrors in your VW ID3

It is operated, as installed at the factory, via the new switch position in the driver's door, with your radio key and via the new menu item in your multimedia system.

After installation, you can set in your infotainment system whether the two exterior mirrors should fold in automatically when you lock your VW ID.3.

In addition, the LEDs built into the lower parts of the exterior mirrors illuminate the area around the door when you open your VW ID3.

In addition, the passenger side mirror lowering is also available after retrofitting and can also be adjusted via the multimedia system. The right side mirror glass automatically lowers when reversing and you can see the tire/curb better.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to fully automatically activate the automatically electrically folding exterior mirrors.

The unlocking (also known colloquially as "GEKO" / "SFD") as well as the complete activation (= the coding / parameterization and the final deletion of the error memory) is carried out automatically by KECODI in the shortest possible time!

- 1x original VW ID.3 exterior mirror, electrically foldable, right (depending on model)

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so that we can check this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original automatic/electrically folding exterior mirrors is possible on all VW ID.3 models of all years of manufacture and all equipment variants.

Product compatibility:

The vehicle manufacturer installs two different door control units (Lowline, Highline), each of which enables more or fewer additional functions.

To determine the part number of the door control units, you can either read the part number directly on the door control unit or you can read the two door control units with a tester (e.g.KECODI, VCDS, ODIS). In general:

Structure of the part number: XX0-959-?9X

Here the position of the ? (question mark) is important.

? = 5 = Retrofitting possible - the door control unit does not have to be replaced to retrofit the folding mirrors.

? = 3 = Retrofitting not possible - the door control unit on the respective side (driver / passenger side or both) must be replaced.

Installation information:

The existing painted mirror housings and the mirror glasses are individual components - these are dismantled and mounted on the new electrically folding mirrors supplied here - so they DO NOT need to be replaced.

No further wiring work is necessary - the new mirrors are simply plugged into the door control unit inside the door.

The final activation is carried out completely and automatically by the supplied KECODI coding interface, including the creation of the new menu item in your multimedia system. No further changes / activations etc. are necessary.
