Significantly upgrade your VW ID.3 with the original tow bar / bike rack.

We supply you with the complete package for retrofitting the original trailer hitch / device for the bicycle carrier in your VW ID.3

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here completes the automatic activation of the swiveling trailer coupling using the innovative KECODI that is already pre-configured for you.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from the 2023 model year with an installed PR number of NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so we can verify this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g., 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

Retrofitting the original device for attaching a bicycle carrier for tow bars (removable) is possible for all VW ID.3 models of all years of manufacture and all equipment variants.

This complete package including cable set is suitable for Volkswagen ID3 models with (PR number: 1D8) or without trailer hitch preparation (PR number: 1D0).

Additionally, it is always necessary to replace the rear bumper with a cutout for a folding license plate holder. These components (rear bumper and license plate holder) are NOT included in the scope of delivery and are required separately (INFO: Painting required).

Although this additional equipment looks like a trailer hitch, VW only intended it for use with corresponding bicycle carriers (support load: 50kg).

The original swiveling tow bar with the 13-pin plug for your trailer falls out after pressing the new button (which is located in the right tailgate panel) and is locked in place with a single movement.

The final activation is done entirely with the included KECODI coding interface!

No activation by your VW partner via SVM code or manual coding is necessary.
