Easily activate the retrofitted trailer hitch or bike rack on your VW ID.3 yourself!
After plugging it into the easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the coding dongle uses the innovative APP that is already pre-configured for you to completely activate the retrofitted trailer hitch or bike rack!
The KECODI coding interface recognizes which trailer control unit you have installed and carries out the activation fully automatically within a very short time.
You do not need any additional "tester" like VCDS / ODIS / VCP etc.!
You don't need any "expertise" / "coding instructions"!
You don't need any SVM code!
You don't need an authorized dealer or car dealership!
You can install ANY tow bar you want in your VOLKSWAGEN ID.3 (rigid, plug-in, swiveling, original or accessory, etc.)!
You can book this activation of the trailer hitch on your existing KECODI coding interface, which you received from us, for example, with a retrofit package.
To do this, simply enter the serial number of your KECODI coding interface during the ordering process.
After your order, the activation will be available automatically and in just a few minutes in your KECODI!

Do you already have a KECODI coding interface?
If yes:
Please enter the serial number of your KECODI coding interface or the order number with which you previously purchased it from us in the text field provided.
We will book the trailer coupling activation sequence as quickly as possible via online release to your existing coding interface, no shipping is necessary.
If not:
We deliver the pre-configured KECODI coding interface to you by parcel post.
Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).
Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.
Vehicles from the 2023 model year with a PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) installed can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so that we can check this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

The activation of the trailer hitch / AHK or the bicycle rack available from VW is possible for all VW ID.3 models of all years of manufacture and all equipment variants.
You can install any trailer hitch in your VW ID.3. In addition to the factory-installed plug-in trailer hitches, the KECODI coding interface also supports swiveling, rigid and plug-in trailer hitches from accessory manufacturers. There is no manufacturer commitment. EVERY trailer hitch is supported by the activation!
Programming is carried out via all control units that are installed and can be activated; the KECODI coding interface also recognizes this fully automatically (e.g. brake electronics, ACC radar sensor pre-sense, front camera, central electrical system control unit, rear view camera, PDC parking aid, lane change assistant).
Immediately after installing a trailer hitch, all imaginable lights in the speedometer light up, the ACC / emergency brake assistant and the front camera (lane assist, traffic sign recognition, etc.) no longer work, after coding with the KECODI the error messages disappear and everything works.
If you retrofit a swiveling original trailer hitch (we also offer the appropriate connection packages + cable sets), the KECODI also parameters the trailer hitch control unit at the same time as the coding. Activating the software is absolutely necessary so that the release mechanism can work.
