VW Golf 8 LED fog light retrofit package

Here we provide you with the complete package for easily retrofitting the fog lights in your VW Golf 8 CD.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI APP, which is already pre-configured for you, to completely automatically activate the fog lights - NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

The unlocking (also known colloquially as "GEKO" / "SFD") as well as the complete activation (= the coding / parameterization and the final deletion of the error memory) is carried out automatically by KECODI in the shortest possible time!

Installation time: approx. 3 hours

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so that we can check this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original fog lights / NSW is possible on all VW Golf 8 CD models of all years of manufacture, all body styles with the following exterior equipment variants (2JG, 2JQ, 2JW).

NOT suitable for exterior equipment variants: 2JB, 2JX, 2JI or 2JD. On these models, the currently installed bumper unfortunately does not have mounts for the two LED fog lights.

We will supply you with the appropriate retrofit package (e.g. light switches, grilles, panels, screws, etc.) depending on the chassis number provided.

Please check the on-board power supply control unit (= control unit of the central electrics, this is installed in the driver's footwell) beforehand. The following applies: If pin 5 + pin 45 is already installed in the control unit on the middle connector B of this control unit, the on-board power supply control unit is capable and does not need to be replaced. The fog light cables are plugged into these two pins.If there is NO PIN in the currently installed on-board power supply control unit, this must also be replaced. You can obtain this control unit from your local VW partner. To date, this on-board power supply control unit has never needed to be replaced on VW Golf 8 models, but we would like to point this out as a preventative measure.
