VW Golf 7 automatically dimming interior mirror retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your VW Golf 7 5G with the original automatically dimming interior mirror.

The interior mirror darkens automatically when the light is too strong.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for installing the automatically dimming mirror in your VW Golf 7.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original automatically dimming interior mirror is possible on all VW Golf 7 models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift), all equipment variants and all body styles (3-door, 5-door, Variant, Sportsvan, GTI, GTD, GTE / e-Golf, etc.) without a currently installed automatically dimming interior mirror.

NOT suitable for VW Golf 7 models with already installed automatically dimming interior mirror.

NOT suitable for VW Golf 7 models with built-in front camera (= lane keeping assistant / traffic sign recognition / high beam assistant).

We will of course supply you with the right interior mirror in the correct color (e.g. satin black, pearl gray, silver, etc.) depending on the chassis number you have entered. If, for example, a pearl gray mirror is installed, we will supply you with the identical pearl gray interior mirror with an additional integrated anti-dazzle function for the mirror glass.

The interior mirror has NOTHING to do with a light/rain sensor - this is a separate component which is NOT in the mirror but on the window.

This sensor will NOT be touched electrically or mechanically during this conversion.

Finally, NO coding work is required for this retrofit.

Product information windshield:

A windshield with preparation for an automatically dimming mirror is required.

If your VW Golf 7 already has a plastic bar that runs from the interior reading light to the interior mirror, the current windshield is suitable and does NOT need to be replaced. The mirror is simply removed and reattached.

In general: If your VW Golf 7 already has a light/rain sensor installed (= recognizable by the light switch with the AUTO position), the currently installed windscreen is ALWAYS capable.

However, if the interior mirror is only attached to the window with an adhesive dot without a running plastic bar, the windscreen is not suitable and must be replaced with a windscreen with an integrated metal bracket for the higher quality mirrors.

You are also welcome to send us an email with your chassis number - we will check whether the current window can be reused.

If the current windscreen is actually NOT capable, the conversion is a good idea, for example if the windscreen is being replaced after a stone impact, etc.
