VW Caddy SB rear view camera retrofit package

Significantly enhance your VW Caddy SB with the original rear view camera.

Here we supply you with the complete package for retrofitting the original rear view camera WITH dynamic guide lines in your VW Caddy SB with upward opening tailgate.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here completes the automatic activation of the rear view camera with the help of the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you.

No further activations or even a visit to your VW partner's workshop are necessary; the KECODI completes the full activation of the rear view camera in just a few seconds.

Another important advantage for you:

• The unlocking (also known colloquially as "GEKO" / "SFD") as well as the complete activation (= the coding / parameterization and the final deletion of the error memory) is carried out automatically by KECODI in the shortest possible time!

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so that we can check this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Retrofitting the original rear view camera with dynamic guide lines is possible on all VW Caddy SB models of all years of manufacture and all equipment variants with the following installed multimedia system:

Option infotainment (PR number: 8AR)

NOT suitable for other multimedia systems.

Suitable for all equipment variants with all parking aid systems (rear parking aid: PR number: 7X1, front + rear parking aid PR number: 7X2, parking steering assistant PR number: 7X5).

NOT suitable for VW Caddy SB models without parking aid (= PR number: 7X0).

An automatic switchover occurs when reverse gear is engaged or when the parking aid button is pressed, including dynamic guide line display from the rear view camera.

Installation instructions:

VW installs two different tailgates on the VW Caddy SB at the factory.

Models with a rear view camera ex works have a recess for the rear view camera in the tailgate (= in the sheet metal).

Models without a factory-installed rear view camera do not have this recess.

When retrofitting, it is therefore necessary to create a rectangular recess in the sheet metal of the tailgate or in the handle bar on vehicles with wing doors (= doors that open to the left and right).

This shouldn't be a problem since the rear view camera is covered by a cover, but we would still like to point it out.
