This 13-pin electrical kit from Trail-Tec is supplied specifically for your AUDI Q8. Using this 13-pin electrical kit is extremely simple: It is recognized by the data bus system in your AUDI Q8 and is ready for use after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the vehicle's own system if the lighting on the trailer is defective.

The 13-pin data bus electrical kit ensures that the factory-installed parking aid on your AUDI Q8 is automatically switched off. This electrical kit is installed in the trunk of your vehicle. In order to connect the electrical kit, permanent power (terminal 30) must be available for the trailer control unit in the rear of the vehicle. You do not need to modify the rear panel of your vehicle to install this vehicle-specific 13-pin electrical kit. There is already a suitable cable duct in the area of ​​the rear of your AUDI Q8 that can be used for this purpose. The electrical kit's socket is already pre-assembled. It is therefore not necessary to connect the individual cables in the trailer socket.

You have the option of retrofitting the trailer socket for use with electrical devices when towing a trailer (permanent plus) or for charging a trailer battery (charging cable). The extension kit is required for the permanent plus function. The extension kit provides a combined retrofit solution for permanent plus and charging cable, which is available separately.
