The portable radar detector Genevo One S Black Edition is the third generation of the portable Genevo One series. The Genevo One S Black Edition is the further development of the extremely successful Genevo One S, which has already set new standards in mobile radar warning in Austria. The passive speed camera detector Genevo One G1S Black Edition can detect radar and laser measurements, but does not influence or interfere with them.

The mobile Genevo One S Black Edition / G1S BE is equipped with GPS technology, German voice announcements and also has the smallest dimensions. The HD radar antenna of the predecessor Genevo One S has been replaced in the Black Edition by an Ultra HD radar antenna, which offers the best reception results of all available mobile radar detectors on the Ka band.

The most significant difference to the previous Genevo One radar detectors is the increased performance of the advance warning time, black painted design elements and a high-quality dot matrix display with white illuminated text. In addition, the device has special software to minimize false alarms from your onboard radar system.

* Limitation of warnings about laser measurements in Austria: The Genevo One product line can display laser sources and laser measurements, but there is a limitation in Austria. The laser gun used in Austria works with a signal that is usually NOT recognized. However, the benefit of a laser warning remains to be questioned, as the measurement has already been completed when the warning is issued.

Compact, powerful, GPS warning

When a warning is issued about a radar source, the Genevo One SB Lack Edition / G1S BE radar detector shows this on the display and simultaneously reports the exact source (the exact radar band, speed camera type or laser source) that caused the alarm using a German voice. When approaching an active radar, the strength of the signal is also reported using a beep to indicate the distance of the source.

You can also save your own GPS locations, so-called POIs, and then delete them again, so that no acoustic warning is given the next time you are at that location. The Genevo One S Black Edition / G1S BE radar detector is also able to suppress warnings about active radar boxes below a certain speed. This function is particularly convenient in city traffic and at traffic lights and saves your nerves considerably.

In the so-called “legal mode”, the device can be used as a pure GPS-based speedometer by entering a key combination.This function is very useful if you are travelling to a country where radar detectors are prohibited. The radar warning function can be reactivated using a PC.

Particularly noteworthy are the new functions that the Genevo One S Black Edition has compared to its predecessors. It is now possible to reduce the range of the radar advance warning at lower speeds, so that you are warned of a radar box in city traffic in a timely manner, but not unnecessarily early. In addition, the Genevo One G1 S Black Edition has filter functions that significantly improve compatibility with your cruise control / distance radar in the vehicle.
