The Mercedes M139 intake manifold for the A45 and CLA45 was developed to provide smoother airflow to the turbo. By redesigning the system to provide a much more direct path, the turbo is able to generate boost pressure with less drag, thus reaching the target boost pressure earlier in the rev range. This intake system was engineered to provide the highest possible flow rate while maintaining the lowest intake temperatures for a net power gain. The de-throttled flow path also allows for more pronounced turbo spooling, contributing to the dynamics of the overall driving experience.

The Eventuri Difference

The Mercedes M139 Eventuri system utilizes our patented carbon fiber housing, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Rather than just another conical filter with a heat shield, it's a unique design that induces the Venturi effect, maintaining laminar flow conditions to reduce turbo drag.

Test bench test

Our M139 intake was independently tested by a Mercedes-specialized tuner in the UK, MSL Performance. Multiple runs were performed with the OEM airbox to ensure repeatable results, and then again with the Eventuri intake. The tests were conducted back-to-back on the same day. The results show an increase in torque and power across the entire rev range—not just at the top revs—which is why the car feels more responsive and can accelerate through the gears faster.
