Suitable for: Audi 8Y RS3 2020+

Following our 8V RS3 system, we have now added the 8Y system to our range. The 8Y RS3 intake system is suitable for all power levels, from stock to those producing more than 1000 hp. This intake system has been developed to provide the highest possible flow rate while achieving the lowest intake temperatures. Every component has been designed to provide the turbo with a smooth and unobstructed flow path. The intake pipe has an internal diameter of 103mm or just over 4? and features a smooth bend from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. The filter itself was specifically designed for this intake and has a huge external diameter of 210mm or 8.3? with a filtering area of ​​over 130,000mm^2. The patented Venturi housing was developed to provide the maximum possible internal volume for the RS3 engine bay and provides laminar flow to the turbo pipe. Finally, the duct seals the filter opening to the front slam plate, but isn't restricted solely by the stock intake opening. We raised the front of the duct to create an additional opening behind the hood, equivalent to an additional 7" diameter hole from which air can be drawn. The resulting system has the capacity to handle 840 CFM at 28" H2O while keeping intake temperatures to a minimum with the sealed design.

Flow tests

We conducted tests with a Superflow SF-1020 to determine the maximum possible flow rate at a pressure drop of 28" H2O. The tests were conducted on the same day under controlled conditions using the same test rig for each system. We tested our complete intake system against the stock airbox system. The results demonstrate how restrictive the stock airbox is; we were able to improve it by up to 58% in the maximum possible flow rate. Importantly, this was achieved with a sealed intake system, so intake temperatures are also kept to a minimum.

Dyno tests

Our RS3 intake system has been tested by various renowned tuners around the world who have built high-performance RS3/TTRS projects for street and track use. The first results come from MSL Performance, who tested our system on a stock 8Y RS3. The tests were conducted back-to-back on the same day. As you can see, there's a measurable gain across the entire rev range, up to 22 hp. This gain is noticeable even on a stock car on the street, with better throttle response and quicker acceleration.
