After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI APP, which is already pre-configured for you, to completely automatically activate the automatically folding and heated exterior mirrors - NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original automatically folding exterior mirrors is possible on all AUDI TT / TTS / TTRS 8S models of all body styles (coupe, roadster), all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) and all equipment variants.

Your AUDI TT 8S detects how warm or cold it is using the factory-installed temperature sensor and switches the mirror heating on or off.

Product compatibility:

Please note: The vehicle manufacturer installs 2 different door control units (Lowline, Highline), each of which enables more or fewer additional functions.

To determine this, you can read the part numbers of the two door control units directly or use a tester.

Generally: Structure of the part number: XX0-959-?9X

Here the position of the ? (question mark) is important.

? = 3 = Retrofit not possible - the door control unit must be replaced for this retrofit.

? = 5 = Retrofitting possible - the door control unit does not have to be replaced to retrofit the folding mirrors.

If the door control units need to be replaced, we can offer this on request

Installation information:

The existing painted mirror housings and the mirror glasses are individual components - these are dismantled and mounted on the new electrically folding mirrors - so they DO NOT need to be replaced.

The cover around the current mirror rotation switch will be replaced because you will later have one more position which can be selected with the rotation switch supplied here.

No further wiring work is necessary - the new mirrors are simply plugged into the door control unit inside the door.
