After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the coding dongle supplied here completes the automatic activation of the KeylessEntry / Comfort Key additional function with the help of the innovative APP that is already pre-configured for you.

Installation time: approx. 8 hours

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles of the model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) or vehicles of the previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

The retrofitting of the original comfort key / Keyless Go / Keyless Entry is possible on all AUDI Q5 / SQ5 FY models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) as well as all equipment variants

Please check the compatibility of the currently installed comfort control unit (= control unit address 46). Experience has shown that in approximately 30% of all cases, this control unit must be replaced with a Highline control unit due to equipment requirements.

You are welcome to send us a written request along with the currently installed part number read out using a diagnostic system (VCDS, ODIS, KECODI, etc.). We will check this for you if the part number installed in your vehicle is not listed here.

If a replacement of the comfort control unit is necessary, we are happy to offer the appropriate control units!

Installation information:

• The outer door handles are not replaced (these always fit), but the original sensors are installed inside the existing door handles; currently only "blank caps" are installed there.
• In addition to the two Keyless Go antennas already installed (1x in the center console and 1x in the trunk), a total of 4 antennas are now installed in the vehicle; these two missing antennas for upgrading from KeylessGo to KeylessGo+Entry are located in the doors.
  • INFO: Antennas are already installed because of the standard function of starting the engine using the start button (= Keyless Go).
• The existing vehicle keys are already always capable and do NOT need to be replaced.
• The cable sets run from the comfort control unit (= BCM2, this is located at the rear left in the trunk) to each door.
• Please check the compatibility of the comfort control unit (= control unit address 46). Check here whether a Highline control unit is already installed. If you are unsure about this, please feel free to contact us using our contact form with the actual part number currently installed (checking by the chassis number alone is not conclusive). We will be happy to check whether the currently installed part number is capable of this.
  • If a replacement of this comfort control unit is necessary, we can also offer it to you under article number: 10786.
