Audi Q5 FY automatically dimming exterior mirror retrofit package

Significantly enhance your AUDI Q5 FY with the original automatically dimming exterior mirrors / mirror glasses.

Simply retrofit this convenient system into your AUDI Q5 FY yourself.

This is much more pleasant, especially at night, as the two outer mirrors will no longer blind you.

You can decide for yourself whether you want to upgrade only one side (e.g. driver only) or both sides (driver + passenger), both mirrors are "independent", it is not necessary to convert both sides.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI APP, which is already pre-configured for you, to completely automatically activate the automatically dimming exterior mirrors.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles of the model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) or vehicles of previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original automatically dimming exterior mirrors / mirror glasses is possible on all AUDI Q5 / SQ5 FY models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) as well as all equipment variants WITH an automatically dimming interior mirror already installed.

Models without an automatically dimming interior mirror currently installed must be upgraded in advance; we can also offer you this retrofit package under item number: 22358.

This retrofit package will be prepared for you depending on the chassis number provided.

If, for example, the exterior mirror heating is installed, you will of course also receive auto-dimming mirror glass WITH mirror heating.

The supplied cable set connects the mirror glass to the door control unit inside each door; it is laid along the existing cables.

Product compatibility:

The vehicle manufacturer installs 3 different door control units (Lowline "3", Midline "5", Highline "7"), each of which enables more or fewer additional functions. The function of the automatically dimming mirror glass requires at least one Highline door control unit "7".

Generally speaking, electrically folding exterior mirrors are already installed - so this retrofitting works without replacing the door control units.

To determine this, you can read the door control units with a tester to determine the part number - you can compare this with the following overview:

Structure of the nine-digit part number: XX0-959-?9X + (index letter such as A, E, H, etc.)

Here the position of the ? (question mark) is crucial.

? = 7 = all functions possible - suitable for this retrofit.

If it is necessary to replace the door control units, these can also be obtained from us at any time under item number: 22357.

? = 5 = therefore unfortunately not suitable - the door control unit must be replaced.

? = 3 = therefore unfortunately not suitable - the door control unit must be replaced.
