Audi Q5 8R automatically dimming interior mirror retrofit package

Significantly enhance your AUDI Q5 8R with the original automatically dimming interior mirror.

Here we supply you with the automatically dimming interior mirror that is suitable for your vehicle, along with the corresponding and pre-assembled cable set for easy retrofitting of the automatically dimming interior mirror.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the automatically dimming interior mirror is possible on all AUDI Q5 / SQ5 8R models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift or facelift).

We supply the exact fitting interior mirror in the same color as the one currently installed. If the interior mirror currently installed is gray, for example, we will also supply a gray interior mirror.

NOT suitable for models with already installed automatically dimming interior mirror with integrated high beam assistant / FLA (= PR number: 8N7).

The retrofit package for installing the automatically dimming interior mirror with integrated high beam assistant / FLA can be ordered under item number: 15390.

Finally, no coding work is required for this retrofit.

Product compatibility of the windshield:

A windshield with preparation for an automatically dimming mirror is required!

If your AUDI Q5 already has a plastic bar that runs from the interior reading light to the interior mirror, the current windshield is suitable and does NOT need to be replaced. The interior mirror is simply removed and reattached.

If your AUDI already has a light/rain sensor, for example, the currently installed windscreen is also always capable and does NOT need to be replaced.

However, if the interior mirror is only attached to the window with an adhesive dot without a running plastic bar (see product image), the windscreen is not compatible and must be replaced with a windscreen with an integrated metal bracket for the higher quality interior mirror (this is often done when the windscreen is replaced in the event of a stone chip).

The interior mirror supplied here also includes the mount for the light/rain sensor as well as for the possibly installed camera of the lane keeping assistant (lane assist).

For models WITH an existing light/rain sensor, the existing sensor is simply transferred to the new mirror.

For models WITHOUT an existing light/rain sensor, the recess in the interior mirror for the light/rain sensor remains empty.
