Audi Q4 e-tron electrically folding mirror retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your AUDI Q4 e-tron with the original electrically folding exterior mirrors.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for the installation of the original electrically folding mirrors including e-tron projection lights.

It is operated via the new switch position in the driver's door if you order this.

When you lock the car with your remote key, both mirrors fold in - as installed at the factory.

When you start the vehicle after locking it, the two mirrors fold back up - as installed at the factory.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already pre-configured for you to completely automatically activate the automatically folding exterior mirrors - NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)) or installed PR number NI9 (NI9 = With UNECE CS&SU) or installed PR number NI1 (NI1 = With UNECE CS&SU).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles from model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) can only be upgraded to a limited extent. Please contact us in advance with the chassis number so that we can check this. Vehicles from previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, 2020, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original automatically / electrically folding exterior mirrors is possible on all AUDI Q4 e-tron models of all body styles (including Sportback) and all years of manufacture.

The retrofit can generally be carried out without installing the new rotary switch in the driver's door. If this is not installed, the mirrors will automatically fold IN when you lock your AUDI Q4 e-tron and automatically fold OUT when you unlock or start driving the vehicle. This is the main function that experience has shown is desired.

Why the twist switch is difficult to retrofit: Unfortunately, AUDI uses a different door panel here. Currently, you have the "heated exterior mirrors" position in the middle. The new mirror twist switch "foldable + heated" has the left + right positions. This means that you would either have to replace the door panel as well or you would have to drill two holes in the currently installed door panel for the two left + right positions. However, the position in the middle will then remain "open" and not functional. We recommend installing the automatically folding mirrors without replacing the mirror twist switch and door panel.

Product compatibility:

Please check whether the two front door control units currently installed are capable of the Highline equipment of the electrically folding exterior mirrors (experience shows that these are about 75% capable and do NOT need to be replaced). You can check this by reading the part number with a diagnostic system (e.g. KECODI or VCDS) or by reading the part number directly from the door control unit.

The third to last digit of the part number is important. This must be "5". "3" is unfortunately not possible and must be replaced. Here are some examples:

Structure of the part number: XXX-959-?9X - the position of the ? (question mark) is important.

Driver's side: 1EB959593 = a "5" - thus suitable

Driver's side: 1EB959393 = a "3" - therefore not suitable

Passenger side: 1EB959592 = a "5" - thus suitable

Passenger side: 1EB959392 = a "3" - therefore not suitable

Installation information:

The existing painted mirror housings and the mirror glasses are individual components - these are dismantled and mounted on the new electrically folding mirrors - these do NOT need to be replaced.

The cover around the current mirror rotation switch will be replaced because you will later have one more position which can be selected with the rotation switch supplied here.

No further wiring work is necessary - the new mirrors are simply plugged into the door control unit inside the door.

The final activation is carried out completely and automatically by the included KECODI coding interface, including the creation of the new menu item in your multimedia system. No further changes / activations etc. are necessary.
