Retrofitting the original LED license plate lighting is possible on all AUDI A8 / S8 4H models of all years of manufacture and all equipment variants with currently installed halogen (= yellow) license plate lighting.

In a few models, depending on the equipment, an error message may appear in the instrument cluster (license plate light defective). This error message can be switched off either via vehicle diagnostics (e.g. ODIS or VCDS).

In our experience, with almost all other models, NO coding work is necessary.
