Audi A7 4G electrically folding mirror retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your Audi A7 4G with the original electrically folding exterior mirrors.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for installing the original electrically folding mirrors - suitable for your AUDI A7 4G.

The mirror folding is operated via the new switch position in the driver's door and via the new menu item in your MMI multimedia system.

This means that the exterior mirrors fold in automatically even when you lock your AUDI A7 4G C7.

In addition, this retrofit also activates the very convenient passenger mirror lowering function, so the mirror glass moves down slightly when reverse gear is engaged.

This allows you to see your rim/curb better, especially when parking, and when you drive forward again the mirror glass automatically moves back.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to fully automatically activate the folding exterior mirrors, including activating the setting option in your MMI for folding when locking your AUDI A7, as well as activating the passenger mirror lowering function (= the right mirror glass moves down slightly when reverse gear is engaged).

NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original electrically folding exterior mirrors is possible on all AUDI A7 / S7 / RS7 4G models of all years of manufacture (facelift from model year 2015 or pre-facelift, etc.).

Please check whether the currently installed door control units are capable of the Highline equipment of the electrically folding exterior mirrors. Experience has shown that these are about 75% capable and do NOT need to be replaced.

If the current door control units are NOT capable, you can order them individually at any time under item number: 16806.

Please check which control units are currently installed by reading your AUDI A6 4G with a tester (e.g. VCDS, ODIS, KECODI) and checking the part numbers of addresses 42 and 52.

Only the index (= the letter) at the end of the part number is important. Compatible control units are: C, D, E, J, H

An example - the part number is: 4G8959793H. Therefore, this door control unit is capable and does NOT need to be replaced.

Installation information:

The existing painted mirror housings and the mirror glasses are individual components - these are dismantled and mounted on the new electrically folding mirrors - so they DO NOT need to be replaced.

The mirror bases supplied are primed.

The cover around the current mirror rotation switch will be replaced because you will have one more position later - for this purpose the new rotary switch and its light guide will also be replaced.

No further special wiring work is necessary - the new mirrors are simply plugged into the door control unit inside the door along with the supplied cable set.
