You want to stream/play music via Bluetooth on your phone.

Here we provide you with the complete package for the very simple retrofitting of the music streaming function on an installed MMI3G/3G+ infotainment system (installed from approx. 2009).

The control of the tracks and the display of the track names is done via the mobile phone - technically speaking, the audio signal is fed into the MMI via the AUX-IN input.

Scope of delivery:

  • - 1x Bluetooth receiver
  • - 1x Plug&Play cable set / adapter
  • - 1x installation instructions (German)

Installation time: approx. 15 minutes

Product attributes:

Retrofitting this A2DP Bluetooth interface for transmitting audio signals is possible on all AUDI A6 / S6 / RS6 4F models from model year 2009 with one of the following installed MMI systems:

MMI3G Navigation (PR number: 7T2 / Navigation data on SD card with computer in the glove compartment with 2x SD + CD slot)

MMI3G+ Navigation plus (PR number: 7T6 / navigation data on hard disk with computer in the glove compartment with 2x SD + CD slot)

Radio Low without navigation (PR number: 8DN)

NOT suitable for AUDI A6 4F models with the older MMI2G navigation system (PR number: 7Q2 - this was installed until approx. 2009, for these AUDI A6 4F C6 models you need the retrofit package with our article number: 13109).

Suitable for A6 models with or without built-in AMI music interface (= interface for end devices such as iPhone / USB in the glove compartment).

Any existing Bluetooth hands-free system can of course continue to be used in parallel.

We are also happy to offer you the retrofit package for the factory solution - the AMI music interface under item number: 13147, to which you can connect device adapters such as USB / iPhone / iPod as well as aftermarket Bluetooth adapters - this "big" solution offers more options such as plugging in / charging your mobile phone, displaying the music tracks and controlling the music from your mobile phone via the MMI system.

With this "small" solution offered here, the control of the tracks and the display of the track names is done via the mobile phone - technically speaking, the audio signal is fed into the MMI via the AUX input.

Installation information:

Pull out the MMI unit.

To easily dismantle the MMI unit, we recommend using our release brackets, which you can order at any time under item number 75005.

Plug in the cable set - place the permanently connected Bluetooth receiver behind the MMI unit.

For models with an AUX-IN input already installed, no coding work is necessary. Only for models without an AUX-IN input currently installed (= input for a jack plug below the center armrest), the MMI is activated using the coding instructions provided.

If a CD changer is already installed, it does not need to be uninstalled. This interface is installed "in addition" to it.

Technical information about the Bluetooth receiver:

Dimensions: 6.5cm x 5cm x 2cm

Operating current: max. 40mA

Quiescent current: 0mA

Output voltage: 1V RMS

Bluetooth system: 4.0

Connecting a device:

Ignition ON

Open Bluetooth menu on your phone

The device will beep once when the connection is successful, then your phone is permanently paired and does not need to be reconnected every time the vehicle is started

Service:

Your already paired mobile phone will automatically connect

Select the source "AUX" in the MMI
