The windshield wipers switch on or off automatically when it rains.

Here we provide you with the retrofit package for a very simple retrofitting.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to fully automatically activate the light/rain sensor.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles of the model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) or vehicles of previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original light/rain sensor WITH additional "rain wiping" function is possible on all AUDI A5 / S5 / RS5 F5 B9 models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) with currently only installed solar/humidity/light detection sensor in the windshield (= PR number: 8N8).

We supply you with the appropriate original parts for easy retrofitting of your AUDI A5 F5 B9.

EVERY windscreen, EVERY control unit and EVERY wiper lever is always suitable from the factory - these do NOT need to be replaced.

In this context, it is also possible to retrofit the automatically dimming interior mirror - we can also offer you this retrofit package under article number: 13427.

The light/rain sensor is a separate component and has NOT anything to do with the interior mirror; it is located in a holder behind the interior mirror.

Installation information:

The interior mirror is simply turned to the left - the factory-installed "air quality / light sensor" behind it is replaced with the supplied "air quality / light / rain sensor" with additional "rain function". Finally, the system is coded / activated as usual.

No cable set / no cable routing is necessary for this very simple retrofit.
