With this retrofit package, your existing steering wheel can be upgraded very easily, so that the installed radio/multimedia system, the hands-free system and the possibly installed voice dialog system/SDS can be easily operated from the steering wheel.

The retrofitting of the original multifunction buttons / multifunction steering wheel / steering wheel remote control is possible on all AUDI A5 / S5 / RS5 8T 8F models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift or facelift), all body styles (coupe, sportback, cabriolet) and all equipment variants.

The two existing covers of your steering wheel are replaced with the original multifunction buttons (plug & play) and connected to the steering column electronics using the cable sets provided.

The two original Plug & Play cable sets remain just behind the steering wheel - no further wiring work is necessary.

Depending on the currently installed steering column electronics (control unit address 16), an exchange for a Highline device is necessary; you can conveniently order this Highline steering column electronics as an option.

INFO: In the course of this retrofitting, it is also possible to install the original cruise control system, as a lot of the work overlaps here.

You are welcome to send us the part number of the currently installed steering column electronics by email. We will check for you whether this installed electronics is capable of using the new multifunction buttons.

To do this, connect the vehicle to a tester - open control unit address 16 - note the part number.

Here are the part numbers of some capable control units, the index (= letter at the end) is important: 8K0953568 B, F, G, M, Q

Not suitable: 8R0953568 H, J, N, P, K, L, M, Q, R, S or 8K0953568 E, D

On request, it is of course also possible to supply a complete multifunction steering wheel, provided that your steering wheel does NOT have any blanking caps (all other steering wheels WITH blanking caps can be easily upgraded with this retrofit package).
