Audi A5 8T 8F Hill Hold Hill Start Assist retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your AUDI A5 8T 8F with the original hill start assist / Hill Hold or also called Auto Hold.

This means your AUDI A5 will automatically stop where it is WITHOUT you having to press the brake pedal.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to fully automatically activate the hill start assist - NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

Functional description:

You can stop on a slope WITHOUT USING THE BRAKE PEDAL without rolling backwards or forwards.

You can leave the automatic gear selector on D/S and take your foot off the brake - the vehicle will stop on the spot without moving - by pressing the accelerator pedal your AUDI will start moving again immediately (even if the start/stop system is switched on).

With manual transmissions, it is sufficient to operate the clutch with the gear engaged OR, as with automatic models, not to operate any pedal at all.

You no longer need to apply the parking brake if you want to get out of the vehicle for a short time, etc.

When you park your AUDI you no longer need to use the handbrake - after removing the ignition key (or pressing a button with KeylessGo) the engine switches off AND the parking brake is applied automatically (the handbrake is activated).

You can activate or deactivate the system at any time by pressing a button on the new parking brake switch.

The retrofitting of the original Hill Hold / Hill Start Assist is possible on all AUDI A5 / S5 / RS5 8T 8F models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift or facelift), all body styles (coupe, sportback, cabriolet) and all equipment variants / transmission versions (automatic / DSG / multitronic / s-tronic as well as manual) with built-in tire pressure monitoring (= PR no.: 7K6 or 7K1).

NOT suitable for your AUDI A5 8T 8F WITHOUT tire pressure monitoring (= PR no.: 7K0 ; unfortunately the brake electronics are not capable of these models).

In general: IF your MMI already has the menu item "Tire Pressure Control" under Service & Control, with which you can save the tire pressure, then retrofitting the Hill Start Assist / Auto-Hold Assist is possible without any problems.

In the article image of the speedometer you can see the parking brake light - this lights up green when the Hill Holder is activated.
