Audi A5 8T 8F ACC radar cruise control retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your Audi A5 8T 8F with adaptive cruise control (= ACC, automatic distance control based on radar).

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for installing the original ACC cruise control system.

This automatic distance control (radar cruise control ACC) uses radar to maintain the speed + distance at an adjustable distance from the vehicle in front.

The ACC is controlled via the new steering column switch including rocker for the ACC function as well as via the MMI / radio system.

For facelift models (except RS5), the AUD breaking guard (= emergency braking assistant) is also available.

Unfortunately, this was not available ex works on pre-facelift models.

Product attributes:

The ACC function (radar-controlled cruise control) can be retrofitted to all AUDI A5 / S5 / RS5 8T 8F models of all body styles (coupe, sportback, cabriolet), all years of manufacture (facelift and pre-facelift).

The electrical connection is very simple and is made via 2 cables for the power supply (+12V, 0V) and 2 CAN bus cables which are connected to the diagnostic interface (this is located behind the glove compartment).

In AUDI A5 models with at least one assistance system already installed (lane assist / lane keeping assistant, side assist / lane change assistant, FLA / high beam assistant), the currently installed diagnostic interface (= gateway, control unit address 19) is always capable ex works and does NOT need to be replaced. In models without at least one of these assistance systems already installed, this control unit must also be replaced. We offer this under item number: 12680.

The distance is adjusted using the new steering column combination switch with ACC function.

In order to restore the function of the red LEDs in the km/h field of the instrument cluster, which light up while driving depending on the ACC setting, the speedometer also needs to be replaced.

Many of our customers do not use this function because it does not offer any particular utility.

If your AUDI has a color driver information system, it is NOT necessary to replace the speedometer; the display in the middle screen is always there.

For models WITHOUT a color driver information system (see article image), it is also necessary to replace the instrument cluster with a speedometer WITH color display.

Some of the original parts supplied come from verified test vehicles, but you still receive the regular warranty on all devices supplied.

Alternatively, we can of course also offer you new parts (+ approx. 2,000 EUR) on request.
