Audi A4 B9 8W sensor-controlled tailgate opening retrofit package

Upgrade your AUDI A4 B9 8W with the original gesture control of the electric tailgate.

Here we provide you with the complete package for connecting this "sensor" to your AUDI A4 B9 8W.

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to fully automatically activate the sensor-controlled tailgate opening.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles of the model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) or vehicles of previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

The retrofitting of the original sensor-controlled tailgate opening / tailgate control is generally possible on all AUDI A4 / S4 / RS4 B9 8W models of all years of manufacture and all body styles (Avant, Sedan, allroad) WITH an already installed electric tailgate and WITH a built-in convenience key (Keyless Entry).

The retrofit package for the electric tailgate can be found under article number: 16520

The tailgate opens with gesture control using your foot when you stand behind the tailgate.

The comfort key recognizes that you are at the vehicle - the original control unit for the tailgate opening, which is inserted into the rear diffuser, recognizes the foot gesture - the tailgate opens.

The electrical connection is very simple and is made to +12V, 0V and a signal line on the comfort control unit at the rear left in the tailgate.
