After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to completely automatically activate the LED taillights.

Please note the exclusion for vehicles from model year 2023 onwards with installed PR number NI8 (NI8 = Without UNECE CS (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG) or installed PR number NI7 (NI7 = With UNECE CS (R155) without SU (R156)).

Unfortunately, these models cannot be retrofitted or unlocked.

Vehicles of the model year 2023 with installed PR number NI0 (NI0 = Without UNECE CS&SU) or vehicles of previous model years (e.g. 2022, 2021, etc., where this PR number does not yet exist) can still be retrofitted.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original LED rear lights is possible on all AUDI A4 B9 8W Avant or allroad pre-facelift models up to and including model year 2019 as well as all equipment variants with currently installed halogen rear lights (= with "bulbs", PR number: 8SA).

NOT suitable for AUDI A4 B9 facelift models from model year 2020 onwards (= PR number: GP1). We can convert these on site upon request.

NOT suitable for AUDI A4 B9 sedan models, for these you need the LED taillights retrofit package with article number: 16093

The four new original AUDI LED taillights supplied are connected to the comfort control unit, which is located at the rear left in the trunk, using the adapter cable sets supplied here.

Information about the flashing light:

The supplied rear lights can flash dynamically (= running indicators) or just statically. The "indicator signal" of the installed comfort control unit determines the function of the indicator.

The following applies: A Highline comfort control unit is required to convert to the "dynamic indicator" (= control unit address 46). If no Highline comfort control unit is installed, the indicator will still function statically immediately after retrofitting + activation (= the indicator will flash "normally").

If a comfort control unit with part number "8W0907064-AA, BA, CA, DA, EA, GA" is currently installed, this can only be replaced with a Highline control unit for the static indicator and for upgrading to the "dynamic indicator". We can also offer you this control unit at any time under item number: 10780.

Part numbers currently identified as capable Highline control units are: 8W0907064-H, C, D, DD, DC, DH, GH and 8W1907064BH

Conversion to the static indicator is possible with all installed comfort control units (= control unit address 46) and always works.

We always recommend retrofitting the rear lights first. If the indicator flashes dynamically after activation with the supplied KECODI, no further measures are necessary. If the indicator "only" flashes statically after installation, you can still decide whether you want to retrofit the dynamic flashing light function. To do this, you need to replace the comfort control unit (see our article number: 10780) at your local AUDI partner (as component protection / immobilizer is included in this control unit).
