After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here completes the automatic activation of the rear view camera with the help of the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you.

The retrofitting of the original rear view camera is possible on all AUDI A4 / S4 / RS4 8K models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift), all years of manufacture, all body styles (Avant, Limousine, allroad), all equipment variants (with or without TV tuner / with or without electric tailgate) as well as all installed PDC parking aid systems (e.g. PR number 7X0, 7X1, 7X2, 7X4) with one of the following navigation systems:

Can be retrofitted into all AUDI A4 B8 8K models with one of the following navigation systems:

MMI3G navigation with PR number: 7T2 (2x SD slots and 1x CD slot in the center console + navigation data on DVD)

MMI3G+ navigation with PR number: 7T6 (2x SD slots and 1x CD slot in the center console + navigation data on hard drive)

NOT suitable for models with MMI2G navigation (installed until 2009 / 6-CD changer in center console without SD slots)

NOT suitable for models with radio system without navigation such as Radio Chorus, Concert or Symphony.

Even with facelift models from model year 2013 onwards, the live image from the camera appears immediately when reverse gear is engaged or when the parking aid button is pressed (with front + rear parking aid) - nothing needs to be switched to get the camera display.

The retrofitting is of course also possible on your AUDI A4 8K WITHOUT parking aid (= PR number 7X0) - no additional parts are required - sending in the MMI main unit is never necessary.
