Audi A4 8K B8 electrically folding mirror retrofit package

Significantly upgrade your Audi A4 8K with the original electrically folding exterior mirrors.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for the installation of the original folding mirrors - suitable for your AUDI A4 8K B8.

+ Operation is via the new switch position in the driver's door and via the new menu item in your MMI multimedia system.

+ With subsequently available passenger mirror lowering, the right mirror glass goes down when you engage reverse gear.

+ You can select in the MMI whether the mirrors should fold automatically when you lock your AUDI A4.

+ As installed at the factory - original system!

+ We supply the retrofit package appropriate for the chassis number and not a universal solution!

After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you to completely automatically activate the electrically folding exterior mirrors, including creating the menu item in your MMI - NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

The retrofitting of the original automatically folding exterior mirrors is possible on all AUDI A4 / S4 / RS4 8K models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift and facelift), all body styles (Avant, Limousine, allroad) and all equipment variants (with or without built-in Side Assist, with or without heated / dimmable mirror glasses, etc.)

Please check whether the currently installed door control units are capable of the Highline equipment of the electrically folding exterior mirrors (experience shows that these are about 75% capable and do NOT need to be replaced). You can check this by reading the part number with a diagnostic system (e.g. with KECODI, ODIS, VCDS) or by reading the part number directly on the door control unit.

If the current door control units are NOT capable, you can easily order them under item number: 16483.

Here are some part numbers of capable door control units. If these are installed, no replacement is necessary. The letter (= index) at the end is important here. Part number "...793" is installed in the driver's door, part number "...792" is installed on the right in the passenger door.

Installation information:

The existing painted mirror housings and the mirror glasses are individual components - these are dismantled and mounted on the new electrically folding mirrors - so they DO NOT need to be replaced.

The cover around the current mirror rotation switch will be replaced because you will later have one more position which can be selected with the rotation switch.

No further special wiring work is necessary - the new mirrors are simply plugged into the door control unit inside the door.
