Audi A3 8V Parking Liberly Retrofitting package

Significantly upgrade your Audi A3 8V with the original parking assistant / PLA with surrounding display.

Here we supply you with the retrofit package for retrofitting the original parking assistant in your AUDI A3 8V.

+ better function including visual display of the parking aid in the MMI display

+ significant upgrade of the parking aid APS+ from 8 PDC sensors to a total of 12 sensors

Scope of delivery:

• - 1x all necessary AUDI A3 8V original parts such as 1x PLA control unit, 2x PLA sensors front, 2x PLA sensors rear, 1x switch panel with additional PLA button (depending on model)
• - 1x all necessary and pre-assembled cable sets
• - 1x installation instructions (German)

The retrofitting of the original parking assistant / PLA is possible on all AUDI A3 / S3 / RS3 8V models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift) as well as all body styles (3-door, Sportback, Cabriolet, Sedan) with existing parking assistance at the front + rear (= APS+).

On request, we will be happy to supply you with PLA sensors already painted in the correct color

Painting work is carried out by a master automotive paint shop using your chassis number / the paint codes stored there.

If you do not want us to paint the PDC sensors, they will be delivered primed.

To make retrofitting easier, we recommend installing bumpers prepared for the PLA sensors.

Alternatively, the PLA sensors can also be installed flush with the existing bumper (however, this does not correspond to the factory installation - the function could be impaired because the beam angle is different) - many of our customers do it this way because the parking aid is still upgraded with the "lateral" warning.

With this retrofit package, the parking aid is extended to the surrounding display; your AUDI also warns you when driving past with the surround display in your multimedia system.

If you also want the automatic parking process, it is often necessary to replace the rear ABS wheel speed sensors on these models. These are NOT included in the scope of delivery and are required additionally depending on the model.

Approximate assembly instructions:

Remove front and rear bumpers.

Insert the four new PLA sensors.

Connect these PLA sensors to the existing parking aid wiring harnesses in the bumper.

Lay the pre-assembled cables to the parking aid/PLA control unit, which is located in the driver's footwell.

Connect the supplied parking aid control unit with parking steering assistant (the old parking aid control unit is no longer required) to the new button panel above the climate control panel.
