After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here uses the innovative KECODI that is already pre-configured for you to completely automatically activate the light/rain sensor in your AUDI A3 8V.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original light/rain sensor is possible on all AUDI A3 / S3 / RS3 8V models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift / facelift), all equipment variants (halogen, xenon, LED headlights, etc.) and all body styles (3-door, sportback, convertible, sedan).

EVERY windshield and every currently installed control unit is already capable from the factory - no new interior mirror or windshield replacement is necessary.

We will supply you with the appropriate light/rain sensor and light switch (e.g. with or without fog light function, LED/Xenon/Halogen headlights, with or without manual headlight range adjustment, etc.) depending on the chassis number entered.

Installation information:

CLIMATRONIC (= automatic climate control with digital display, PR number 9AK):

If Climatronic is installed, your AUDI A3 8V already has an air quality sensor installed at the factory behind the interior mirror. This air quality sensor is replaced with the light/rain sensor with integrated air quality sensor supplied here without any further wiring work. In addition, the light switch is replaced with a switch with an additional AUTO position. No cable set is required.

MANUAL AIR CONDITIONING (air conditioning with rotary controls without digital display, PR number KH6):

Your AUDI A3 8V has a blind cover installed behind the interior mirror. This blind cover is replaced with the light/rain sensor supplied here without an integrated air quality sensor and connected to the control unit of the central electrics using the cable set supplied with this variant (this control unit is located in the driver's footwell). In addition, the light switch is replaced with a switch with an additional AUTO position.
