After briefly plugging it into the very easily accessible OBD diagnostic interface in the driver's footwell, the KECODI coding interface supplied here carries out the complete automatic activation using the innovative KECODI that is already preset for you - NO further coding work with a tester is necessary.

Product attributes:

The retrofitting of the original heated mirror glasses / mirror heating is possible on all AUDI A3 / S3 / RS3 8V models of all years of manufacture (pre-facelift or facelift), all body styles (3-door, sportback, sedan, convertible) and all equipment variants.

The AUDI original parts supplied here are assembled for you according to the chassis number provided and are therefore suitable for all models.

Mirror glasses: Currently, glasses are always installed without heating - these glasses have a "blind plug" into which the already installed cable set is plugged so that it does not "hang around". The glasses are to be replaced 1:1 with the original glasses supplied here.

NO cable laying is necessary as the cables from the rotary switch to the mirror glasses are already laid at the factory.

The door control units and all other control units are already factory-equipped for the additional function of heated exterior mirrors.

Your AUDI A3 8V detects how warm or cold it is using the factory-installed temperature sensor and switches the mirror heating on or off.

Installation information:

The mirror glasses that are only inserted are levered out of the exterior mirrors and replaced.

The driver's door panel is removed according to the illustrated installation instructions (a few screws, also only inserted).

The rotary switch and the panel around the switch will be replaced because you have one more switch position with the mirror heating.
